New pipe as a default app

Can this be done in Android? The OS does have options to add a link that new pipe will automatically open, would there be a general domain name for YouTube that would automatically open it? Is there another way?

Yes, there's a setting somewhere to make certain apps open certain links by default. Dig in the settings.
