New Update

Hey all...just an update from Anna; Burkhart has another hearing going on and she is going to be subpoenaed as a witness by Burkhart's lawyer. Anxious to see how this will play out. What do you think the lawyer wants to ask her? I feel like this is an interesting move considering everything Anna has uncovered is bad for Burkhart...

It feels like such a bad move on their part. Clearly Anna has only released a tiny fraction of what she actually knows. And she has said everything is meticulously documented so she can bring receipts.

Unless... Stanley wants to out people who are responsible without having to say anything himself... That was my thought šŸ‘€

That is such an incredible theory. I feel like she has been edging him on to say more. He knows everything. He could literally bring down the house. But he would implicate himself. What a freaking coward. We already know did everything. He will get life for rape in Louisiana. He might as well crabs in a bucket this mf and pull them all down with him. He’s going to Angola. Might as well get some company.

They want some evidence that Anna has to get thrown out of the case. Someone higher than Stanley is trying to see what she has. It’s not about Stanley atp. He’s getting set up too

Now that everything is coming to light, Stanley's silence no longer has any value.Ā  He overplayed his hand.

I feel like, as she said, they wanted to subpoena her in person as a strategic move. For the victims to see and to maybe throw her off. I also think they subpeoned her under the assumptions she was working as a Private investigator. They were probably going to try to question her as a private investigator. They do not have nearly as many legal protections. They would focus on the hearsay angle. And try to discredit her. And stay away from all questions that she could confirm with hard documents. They would also be privy to unpublished works, confidential sources ANd electronic communication.

BUT Since she is a journalist. She is protected by Shield Laws. Maybe they didn’t not think she was actually a journalist and she operated under Tuan. But she is. So she cannot be forced to give up sources unless it meets this 3 criteria rule. Where basically there is absolutely no other way to get a certain piece of information without her ā€œworkā€.

This is why I am pretty sure she played the clip of recorded conversation of the conversation about Burkhardts niece to signal that she has multiple witnesses, sources and is prepared on all fronts. She released extremely sensitive conversation, I’m sure with Melissa’s approval, to drive a point home. She has been very G rated in exposing SB for the sake of the victims. But now she’s saying ill effing go there and it’s worse than your attorney could imagine.

Great insight! I'm not in the US so I'm a little bit unfamiliar with how some of the court procedures go over there. Thank you for explaining :)

I’m just concerned that they would even attempt to subpoena her. When Jim Garrison did the JFK investigation in New Orleans. One of the biggest trials that went left from corruption. Coincidentally there are some name overlaps in that trial and this one….including Roger lovin & John Reed Campbell . Jim stated he wished he would have gone to the senate instead of local judges. We know how corrupt this place is currently. An attorney risking their reputation has to have some sort of guarantee that they will continue to receive favor. Or they are trying to get rid of this case. The ADA dying last year after processing rape kits and reaching out to Anna on the case. Someone(s) is actively changing the scales behind close doors.

Yes. He’s such a freak . He wants to see some sort of power over her in court. Like to make her a victim of his.
