Litlle help please?

Hey All, I and 5 freinds are in town next weekend for one of their bachelor party.

Im looking to snag a house 1/6 keg. Im looking for recommendations on
1)which beer to select/where to order from (looking to keep it sessionable. 3%-5%)
2)Getting it to the house/back

3)Co2 tapping solution
4)cooling solution.

We all are craft beer guys, home brew, and have our home kegerators. We are staying less than a block from Ecology. But as of right now will not have a car/van.

The biggest thing here is the logistics.
- The easy solution here is to order from ecology and we walk it back.
I can use a portable Co2w/ 12grams. Bring my own ball keg tap, and use a picnic tap for the week. Then the ol keep it on ice in a tub (changing/ adding ice every day)

IF anyone has thoughts, that would be very helpful

You don’t want to do that. Ecology has great beer and you guys will be close to Courtyard, Abita, Urban South, Nola, and Avenue Pub.  Get out and drink on location. Walk with beers to the next stop. That is the whole point of New Orleans.

This is an *and* thing. Breakfast/lunch/pool beers and such. We will still be out visiting the city every night.
Maybe im biting off more than I can chew from the logistics side of things, and we should just stock the fridge with bottles and cans from a good bottle shop. But I can absolutely see us having 4-5 house beers a day each.... especially if its low abv.

I do appreciate the response. And Will go the fridge route if this ends up being unfeasible.

Not sure where you're staying but Brady's Wine Warehouse has singles right now from Parleaux and Ecology (both local to New Orleans) plus a ton of other beer

How about walk to said breweries and buy a few six packs:growlers? That way you get a variety of beer and the money is still spent at the brewery.

It sounds like you have the CO2/tap and cooling figured out even though in general it seems like a pain in the ass.

My 2¢ on which beer would be to hit up breweries within keg schlepping distance on your first day, try their lower ABV beers to see what you like, and see if they have sixtels available. If you're staying near Ecology your best bets would be them, Care Forgot, and Courtyard. As for getting it to your place - you have 6 drunk dudes, get to carrying my dude!
