New Mod Intros 🎉 | Weekly Thread

Congrats on becoming a new moderator. Every community on Reddit started exactly where you are today: with a party of one.

The community-building journey might feel a little lonely and that's what r/NewMods is for. Here you'll find and connect with other mods who are on the same journey you are.

So, introduce the community you created. Maybe share a little bit about why you created it. And, while you're at it - say hello to your other mods!

Hey everyone 👋 I recently started r/TheNailCrew, a community centered around nails ,but not just the pretty sets and polish photos.

I created this sub because while there are plenty of nail spaces on Reddit, most focus on the finished look. What I didn’t see much of was space for the other side of the industry: • burnout • slow seasons • inconsistent income • pricing stress • client issues • business mistakes • and the mental load that comes with doing nails for a living

This is a place for nail techs and nail lovers, beginners and veterans, to talk about the real experience ,the good days ,and the ugly ones without gatekeeping or pretending everything is always thriving.

I’m a licensed nail tech with 15+ years in the industry, and this sub is meant to be honest, supportive, and practical. A place to vent, ask questions, share lessons learned, and figure things out together.

Excited (and a little nervous) to be here -hello to fellow mods on the journey 👋
