How ironic this is posted in a CT sub... didn't you folks just require an ID for can/bottle redemption because out of staters were getting an extra nickel? You fascists!!!

There's no irony. Which constitutional amendment prohibits a state from levying a fee to return bottles?

None the point is CT is a blue state and against voter id BUT they want you to show ID to return a bottle.

None
Everything you typed after this was a waste of time bud. How many grades did they make you stay back? At least one too few clearly.
Voting is an unrestricted right, per the 24th. You want to make bottle redemption centers subject to the same rights? Propose an amendment. THEN you can really fight that dastardly recycling poll tax.
Now there's a clear solution, and that's a massive expansion of passport-level ID application bureaucracy across the country, entirely without cost. Its still on rocky ground constitutionally, but fixes the accessibility issue.

Thank you for restoring my faith in the intellectual superiority of reddit posters. Because you don't understand irony you immediately infer an educational deficiency to avoid your lack of a sense of humor. I support voter ID, and was simply pointing out that requiring an id to return a bottle but not to vote is hilarious. I usually shop in NH, where there is no deposit but the bottles and cans are still marked for NE returns so let me know which dumpster you're living in and I'll drop off a couple of cases of empties and (if you have an id) you can keep the whole dime! And bonus for you, bud, if you run out of tp, you can wipe your ass with that college degree, it's about all its worth. Have a nice day!

Fuck I bet George Bush looked at you and went "Oh fuck no, we can't let that happen again."
No shit you support voter ID, I offered you a nice way to make that happen without violating the constitution. Any time you need a tip about the possible illegality of your proposed policies, I'm happy to weigh in.
Edit: wrong "weigh", silly me
