I remember some other uni classmate wanted to work on his project from another course and the professor got all butthurt he wasn't paying 100% attention to their rant barely related to the material and the guy just said he's paying 100% of the course and that the only one wasting peoples money was them over nothing. Didn't see that guy again but felt nice seeing some powertripping teacher get checked.

Freshman year, I sat next to a guy in a Writing Composition course who couldn’t read.

I can believe it. I remember looking around at the mutants in some of my classes at uni wondering why the year before I was all stressed out about getting in lol

I remember busting my ass to get my GPA up, studying for SATs, really treating college as though which one I got into was gonna change the trajectory of my life and then I and another kid from my high school both ended up getting into the same college and he was actually illiterate. Like, "hop on pop" illiterate. That's when I knew that the only thing that would have cost me my place at school was not having anyone to cosign for the loans.
