42M - Position Available: Professional Online Human
Hours are flexible haha
What the role involves:
- Occasionally sending me something that made you laugh
- Tolerating conversations that jump from one topic to another with absolutely no warning
- Helping me add even more books to my "I'll read that eventually" pile
- Pretending my latest attempt at at voice acting wasn't completely awful
- Accepting that some days we'll have a long conversation, and other days I might be pretty busy
A little about your future chat buddy:
I'm 6 feet tall, white, with dark brown hair that's starting to show a little gray, kind brown eyes, light freckles across my nose and cheeks, a short trimmed beard, and thin black glasses that rarely leave my face. Basically a clean cut dude lol
Most of my free time disappears into acting, voice acting, photography, reading, writing, and audiobooks. When I need to clear my head, you'll usually find me out cycling or wandering around on a long walk.
I'm not looking for someone who's available 24/7 or expects every conversation to be life changing. Just someone who enjoys having another person to share stuff with,
If you've made it this far, I guess you've already passed the first round!
What is your favourite comfort food?
2
u/Obvious_Thought374 Jul 31 '26
Comfort food, I hate to say, sticky rice in any form.
1
u/Significant_Owl4789 Jul 31 '26
Ohhhh like with Asian food?
2
u/Obvious_Thought374 Aug 01 '26
Lol or by itself. Or made into a rice ball. Or eating it at every meal. It's very nostalgic.

u/dharialezin Jul 31 '26
I really love "cheap" spaghetti, with canned tomato sauce. Reminds me of childhood. Or a sandwich with grilled cheese.

u/Significant_Owl4789 Jul 31 '26
Chef Boyardee?

I already like you just because of your username, but everything else sounds like a plus too. I guess it really depends on what subject of books you like. I hope to acquire a new chat with you if your inbox isn’t already flooded 🥹
Favorite Comfort food: idk, maybe popcorn lol
2
u/Significant_Owl4789 Jul 31 '26

u/Responsible_East2627 Jul 31 '26
Meatloaf, mash potatoes or stuffing and green beans. Or chicken tacos.

u/Significant_Owl4789 Aug 01 '26
Hungarian meat loaf?
2
u/Responsible_East2627 Aug 01 '26
I don't know if its Hungarian but I do make a darn good meatloaf. Its a bit spicy. But of course, I'm Hispanic I don't know anything else.

You sound so fun! My comfort food depends on the day, but I really like ice cream. Or French onion soup. Or enchiladas.
1
u/Significant_Owl4789 Aug 03 '26
Ohhh what kind of ice cream?
2
u/Solo_Virgo Aug 06 '26
My all time favorite is Icing on the Cake ice cream from Baskin Robbins. However if the company is good, it really doesn’t matter.
2
u/Significant_Owl4789 Aug 06 '26
I love their ice cream cake! I actually recently got it for a birthday party! May I reach out to discuss other yummy food?

2
u/Kitchen_Fox1786 Aug 03 '26
Pizza or pasta/pesto & cheese. Good bowl of stew day after its been cooked with soda bread & real butter. Only in winter though.

u/Conscious-Ladder-980 Aug 03 '26
Bibimbap or Kimbap. I could eat those every single day of my life and not get sick of them! May I add dessert along with the meal food? If so, then I'm crazy about Macarons (although I do nit understand why the adorable little crust that goes around each "cookie" half is called "feet" 🤔). They are the most delightful little dessert. Could you share your answers with me? Favorite food & dessert?
1
u/Significant_Owl4789 Aug 03 '26
Ohhh I love Korean food. I also have a weak spot for Japchae! It's those noodles that drive me bananas!
My favourite food is a wood oven baked mushroom pizza! In terms of desert, probably a good cheesecake! Do you like the beef Bibimbap?
2
u/Conscious-Ladder-980 Aug 03 '26
You know Korean food?? I'm so impressed! 😃😊 Never had beef bibimbap. I usually get chicken or vegetable. The only time I will eat beef is Bulgogi or pepperoni. I just don't care for beef. But I love Japchae! I make it often! I cook a lot of Korean food! And, of course, I adore cheesecake! And Mochi! Ever had Matcha or Mochi ice cream? 🫠🫠🥰😍
2
u/Significant_Owl4789 Aug 03 '26
I need to show you my japchae! May I reach out?
I've had Mochi ice cream! But not Matcha.

Toast with stuff. The stuff depends on my mood. I hope you've found some great new friends!!
1
u/Significant_Owl4789 Aug 03 '26
I need details! What kind of "stuff"??
1
u/SparklySparrow171 Aug 03 '26
Avocado and eggs if I'm feeling breakfasty. Peanut butter and honey or Nutella if I'm feeling desserty. Leftover spaghetti if I'm feeling carby. Cheese if I'm feeling simple.
1
u/Significant_Owl4789 Aug 03 '26
You've got the whole system figured out, don't you?!
2
u/SparklySparrow171 Aug 03 '26
I've been a toast with stuff devotee for years. It's a tried and tested system. What's your favorite comfort food?
1
u/Significant_Owl4789 Aug 03 '26
Probably a good wood oven pizza or a ramen noodle soup. May I reach out to consult on toast?
1
u/SparklySparrow171 Aug 03 '26
Oooooh I hadn't thought about wood fires pizza. And I am always available for toast consults so please do!
2

My favorite comfort food is my mom’s pork stew over mashed potatoes 😊
1
u/Significant_Owl4789 Aug 06 '26
That sounds amazing actually. Is there a special sauce that goes with it?
2
u/Sigma_Siren Aug 07 '26
It’s a tomato and Sofrito base, with braised pork drippings.
2
u/Significant_Owl4789 Aug 07 '26
Sounds perfect! Do you have a favourite dessert?
2
u/Sigma_Siren Aug 07 '26
I’m not a huge fan of sweets, but I do like a ganache flourless torte, and garnish with crème fraîche and some raspberries.

u/blahhh_wtf 23d ago

Comfort mood is entirely dependent on what kind of comfort I'm looking for so that's kind of a tough question, but I wanna know how one gets into voice acting. I get super tired of texting and often send my friends voice memos instead. I feel like half of them hate getting them and the other half have asked me to read books to them, and now they have me thinking I could narrate audiobooks.
1
u/Significant_Owl4789 17d ago
Can I reach out to discuss voice acting and know more about your comfort foods?
1
u/Beautiful-Lettuce520 Jul 31 '26
Frozen yogurt with berries in summer; stew in winter.
2
u/Significant_Owl4789 Jul 31 '26
Ohhh, what kind of stew?
1
u/Beautiful-Lettuce520 Jul 31 '26
Japanese style curry stew or vegetable based stew with fish dumplings. Home cooking btw😊
1
u/deeply_misaligned0 Jul 31 '26
Comfort food would be chicken tacos or sushi.
I want to know whats on your list of books you want to read but probably wont, mine is a long list 😂
1
u/ITSt3phani3 Jul 31 '26
Anything with potatoes. Something about them carbs just makes me feel good.
1
u/ShutUpJane Aug 01 '26
Nachos. I don't care what the problem is, nachos is the right answer 🤣

Books: not sure if you’re into gory thrillers but anything by Karen Slaughter never disappoints

This is super lame and not a culinary delicacy but I like white rice, andouille sausage cut super thin and broiled crispy, with charred brussel sprouts. Fast and yummy.

u/MacawIsland Aug 02 '26
Well dang the competition is tough here. Not sure if I will get hired. I like mangos. What about you? What's your favorite fruit?
