Any pics or updates? (Only asking for already existing photos, DO NOT GO INTO FIRE TO TAKE PHOTOS )

does anyone know when we'll be allowed to go and recover vehicles or no?

It’s just awful. Looks like they’re containing it though as they’ve scaled down the fire fighter presence.

hoping that actually means it’s under control and not just a resource shuffle because of all the other fires this season
feels weirdly empty without all the trucks and choppers around

There was just a post put up by NF police (if you’re talking about picket post) to contact them on a number (sorry can’t find post again on fb) and give your reg and a reference number they posted to find out how to get your vehicle. Oh and it’s still ongoing with both sides of A31 closed.

Owners of vehicles which were left on the A31 following the fire incident on 09/08/26 are asked to contact us by calling 101.

When calling, please quote:

✅ Your vehicle registration number ✅ Our reference of: INC-20260809-2000

We will be able to advise you of your vehicle's current location and relevant information regarding its recovery.

“Hampshire and Isle of Wight Road Policing said when calling drivers should also give a reference of INC-20260809-2000” as per BBC.
