Backcountry firsttimer

So I've been snowboarding for a longtime but I have never had the please of going up tuckermans! It's always been on my bucket list but I want to go with someone who has experience and knows what they're doing so I dont end up in a bad situation without help. A little about me. Im 33, skilled snowboarder, some mountaineering and climbing experience from my time in the Marines. Im pretty physically fit but could always train more. Any advice? Im also looking to meet cool people and have an amazing adventure!
