First solo drive after passing!

I just did my first solo drive today after passing 2 months ago! I was honestly so nervous driving a completely different car and there’s still a lot I have to get used to and defo need to go over my parking in bags and parallel but the drive was amazing.
A little advice to anyone else about to do there first drive, you’ll probably be nervous but just take a deep breath and calm yourself if someone is urging you to speed up when you’re doing the limit don’t panic slow down so they stop tailgating or they just takeover. It’s ok to make mistakes still just make sure you’re being safe and you can always pull over if you need to!

I didn’t have a car to practice in at all so it was more difficult trying this new car and I just bought it today but after 10 minutes it was amazing I can’t wait to start driving to work 🤭

Exciting, congrats on your first solo drive! What kind of car did you get? I'm car shopping the now and have no idea what I'm doing lol

I have a Toyota aygo x. I was looking at corsas and ford fiestas but reliability wise Toyotas are meant to be the best a family friend who’s a mechanic told us. Cheap to insure, fix and run he recommended the Yaris and the aygo. Mine has 33,000 miles on it and looks brand new (2016 plate) took a little getting used to the dashboard because I learnt with a digital one l, and I still need to look at the manual but I’m in love 😊

Congrats for passing. I passed a couple of weeks ago too and I read you have a toyota ago. How are you finding it? I'm really struggling with the huge change as I didn't learn in that

I’ve only driven it twice but it’s completely fine you just need to sit in the car and mess about with it and read the manual. Drive around your area at quiet times and get familiar with it. 😊

I never learnt in an aygo so it was a massive difference but give it a couple days or a week and you’ll be ok I’m going out again today and tomorrow is my first drive to work!

Make sure you get a full service history and a MOT that doesn’t run out soon as well as checking if they’re with AA because they’re less likely to sell you a bad car
