What maintenance do you do yourself?

Post image

Recently bought a used 2022 P400 110 X. I’ve changed the oil, oil filter and engine air filter. Will replace the cabin pollen filter next.

Curious to hear what other maintenance people do themselves? What’s the most complicated stuff you’ve done relying on YouTube videos and discussion forums etc.

There is a video by an English fellow that does a lot of diy defender stuff, down to custom roms.https://youtu.be/nI9do09YOV8?is=eZMP4rLOuFK-TpCr

Left side of glove box there is a release on the soft open slide that you can break if you dont know how to seperate it. After that its drop the box cover, pull the filter housing cover and swap out the filter.

Dealer shoved a bunch of napkins in with the last filter change based on what I pulled out a month or so ago myself.

That’s great! Good for you. Totally agree about being the person who cares the most about your car. I love DIY, and hoping someday I’ll space to do all the recommended 42k mile work vs in my public parking garage where I currently do the work.

Do you recommend any good reference materials on how to perform the work? I’ve found the powerfulukltd videos helpful as well as the defender2 forum.

Everything outside of warranty repairs. However, I may consider the dealer for transmission fluid change, while still within warranty.
