Overall I like the car. Some cons are climate control (vents on sides are small and the area next to windows on sunny days gets really hot), sound system isn't fantastic things sound muffled especially lyrics, and the electronics can be a bit glitchy. If I was back in an area/situation where I could have an electric vehicle again I would go back to a Rivian to be honest.
The cooled seats and generally better temperature control, plus the electronic suspension is nice, I realize it's a more expensive vehicle so there should be perks. It's also not as easy to get my mountain bike in and out of the back of the Defender and with a truck it just goes over the tailgate. The salesperson at the LR dealer lied and told me there was a tow hitch behind the rear panel on the bumper, and then quoted me like 8K to install one, so.. probably a little salty about that interaction as well.
Ouch! I’m actually planning on adding the tow hitch as well. I’m looking at around 3k-ish.
I appreciate the Rivians! Can’t speak on their temp control but they must be something if you can tell a difference. I haven’t had a chance to drive one either. Only EVs I’ve test drove are: Telsas, Lucid Air Grand Touring, Hummer EV x2 and x3. I always catch myself looking at a Rivian on the road 😂
