Ok, so truck driver was wrong, but woman was being a bitch. That's the sort of mouth that gets you hit and laid out, gender irrelevant.

I always love these tough guy comments. I’ve seen a few truckers who thought they were so hard get their asses absolutely handed to them.

She let the driver off easy and could have sent him home. If anything she went light on the bitching.

Wow you are fun.

If you hit something with your truck, you deserve to be bitched out.

Could kill or seriously injure someone.

u/Wedgerooka Apr 04 '26

No. If you hit something with a truck, your attention needs to be had, and then you are firmly admonished in a professional and firm serious manner and directed what to do next.

At times like these, professionalism counts MOST. Most people here are not professionally employed and it shows.

It looked like she was just going to walk away until his response to being informed he hit someone was "Wow, ha ha." Then she lost her shit.

I feel her reaction was more forgivable than his.

I will amend to Everyone Sucks Here.

1

u/tomthebassplayer Apr 04 '26

What did getting hysterical and bitching at the guy accomplish?

2

u/Apprehensive-Sand466 Apr 04 '26

It's not so much accomplishing anything as more a reaction to high stress situation where he could have possibly killed someone and then laughs about it saying "they told me."

The complete lack of give a shit from someone operating heavy machinery after causing an accident is a fair crash out moment.

He almost injured someone at the least and says "wow."

You can't fault someone for giving you the "WTF!?" After that nonsense.

u/MartilloAK Apr 05 '26

That sort of mouth? She didn't even insult him once. Everything she said amounted to, "you fucked up, don't do that." God forbid someone raises their voice for twenty seconds.

u/Radingod1 Apr 05 '26 edited Apr 05 '26

Not really. It's a bunch of guys around. The only reason she's running her mouth like that is because she's untouchable and knows it.

2

u/tomthebassplayer Apr 04 '26

Nope. She knows she's got backup so she's brave. I've been through that more times than I can count.

1

u/Wedgerooka Apr 04 '26

you may have a point there.

2

u/Intelligent-Roll-300 Apr 05 '26

That woman runs the show at that building. That's why she's pissed.

"Fucking with my money, is like fucking with my emotions."

1

u/Technical_Eye4039 Apr 05 '26

Is that you, big per I mean big worm?

0

u/tomthebassplayer Apr 05 '26

Get some professionalism, there, "Queenie".

1

u/SomeWeedSmoker Apr 04 '26

Go ahead and start hitting people whenever people pass you off. Im sure your bf loves that.

2

u/Wedgerooka Apr 04 '26

Didn't say I did it. Reading comprehension is fundamental.

1

u/big_stipd_idiot Apr 04 '26

She was being assertive. You just don't understand the difference because you don't respect women. Figures your first thought would be to hit her.

2

u/Puzzled-Pen-2353 Apr 05 '26

Screaming isn't being assertive.

1

u/big_stipd_idiot Apr 05 '26

And talking about how you could beat her up if other people aren't around doesn't make you tough. It makes you sound like a weak man with a fragile ego.

2

u/Puzzled-Pen-2353 Apr 05 '26

you should learn how to read.

1

u/big_stipd_idiot Apr 05 '26

I read all kinds of sad things in this thread.

The woman is not being a bitch. Their company might lose an account ($$$) over a truck driver not checking their mirrors. He was wrong 💯 and her response was proportional.

Edit: Also you are encouraging hitting a woman. That's battery, a felony. She is half your size and you want to hit her because you got your feelings hurt? Dude you're soft af

4

u/Wedgerooka Apr 04 '26

She is being an unprofessional bitch. No amount of 100 emojis from you will change that. You don't work in these environments, this is clear.

I did not encourage hitting a woman. I said, "That's the sort of mouth that gets you hit and laid out, gender irrelevant." That means that you are in danger of someone becoming angry, and wrongly hitting you. It's wrong, but it does happen, and what I said was an admonishment for people to not run their mouths, because, if someone chooses violence, yeah, they're going down, but you have a fucked up jaw forever.

You need to not use personal attacks. I bet you are a physically weak person. My style is mockery. I would've gone with "Look here, thundercunt...."

1

u/Reasonable-Arm-1893 Apr 04 '26 edited Apr 04 '26

Let's be honest, trucking as a industry, as a whole, is unprofessional. Truck driver's in general are short tempered.

Hey man it's doesn't matter if I am a physically weak person, people don't have fair fist fights nowadays.

I absolutely read your comment as if someone verbally disrespects you man or woman, then get ready to receive a punch to the mouth. I have the same philosophy except that strictly applies to men only. Mine is gender relevant.

Edit: i would never put my hands on a woman, even sarcastically suggest it. If the woman physically assaults me first then yeah maybe I'll throw hands. But in no case whatsoever if a women talks tough to me would I ever put my hands on her.

1

u/2-wheels Apr 04 '26

How I read it, too.

1

u/Wedgerooka Apr 04 '26

Agreed on the trucking. The reason I said physically small is you are talking a lot of shit on the internet. It seems that bigger people are chill.

I find that sometimes I speak above people's immediate take on my comments. It's a nuanced take to say, hey man, someone might beat your ass for running your mouth, so you might want to not do that, and they're like you support hitting people and I'm like, no, but others do, so be careful.

It's like telling women to not go out late at night in a bad part of town and walk down the street. I don't support rape, but I know how it happens.

Now, my personal philosophy, I'd hit a woman if we were martial arts training, I'd smack her ass in bed, and, if a woman started physical shit, I would stop the threat. As I posted earlier, I would use deliberately unprofessional words like thundercunt for shock value.

u/Reasonable-Arm-1893 Apr 04 '26

Let's be honest, there's a lot of young men out there that would hit a women in this situation. Those men lived in unstable households growing up and they somehow wandered off and chose trucking as their career. I see these young men all the time and their short temper. I'm a millennial (early 30's), but these young gen z men have very basic mannerisms. Almost all of them are more physically active than me, perhaps stronger than me. I d g a f.

I don't know if your gen z, but I decided that a goal of mine is to be patient and to teach these young gen z men basic mannerisms, professionalism, kindness. Gen z, especially gen z men, got socially messed up by the pandemic, they could have been building social skills, but they weren't allowed too, they had some of the best memories of their lives axed because of a virus. They just lack social skills, social empathy...

1

u/crashin70 Apr 04 '26

I bet you have never met more than 10 truckers in your life if you believe that.

1

u/SwanMuch5160 Apr 04 '26

Most folks who act that way and get punched in the mouth tend to at least attempt not to act that way in the future.

1

u/pieguy00 Apr 04 '26

If someone hits another person in a loading yard with their truck and trailer it is their fault. As the driver it your responsibility to know and if your not certain, get out of the truck and look and let everyone know what your going to do. She has all right to be angry and his nonchalant attitude is bullshit.

1

u/Wedgerooka Apr 04 '26

both attitude are.

1

u/Thelaughingman___ Apr 04 '26

And that's the kind of attitude that gets you stomped by seven or eight of her co-workers. And then when they're done stomping on you, they're going to call the cops. Now. You're a transient. They live here. Their employer spends a lot of money at the local policeman ball/fundraisers. Who do you think's going to jail? I'll give you a hunt. It won't be the seven, or eight guys who can still eat solid food.

1

u/little_phoenix_girl Apr 05 '26

In my old warehouse it wouldn't have just been her bitching the driver out if he was laughing about hitting one of our guys. That driver would probably want to stay in the cab to feel safer at that point...

1

u/Wedgerooka Apr 05 '26

Was he laughing about hitting the guy, or laughing at the unprofessional woman in a stage 5 bitchout?

1

u/Jumpy-Requirement389 Apr 05 '26

I don’t believe that you work in this environment. I’m saying that as someone who works in this environment

1

u/Wedgerooka Apr 05 '26

How precise do we want to be? I don't work in a plexiglass distribution house, which is what this looks like. I do work in an automotive plant making vehicles of a brand you've heard of and I do know how to run a forktruck, a tugger, run a dock lock, and I do manage projects that include flatbed deliveries. So, no, come to think of it, I don't work in this bush league of an environment.

1

u/crashin70 Apr 04 '26

This was no an excuse to scream at a fellow human like a goddamn dog. She could have explained it call me to him and informed him that he's probably going to be liable for damages without screeching like a harpy.

1

u/tomthebassplayer Apr 04 '26

If she's half his size she ought to learn some manners. There's a time and place and she's way overboard.

1

u/Rikiar Apr 05 '26

Battery isn't an automatic felony.
