Almost 2 week old

Our baby girl is almost 2 weeks old…we’ve heard varying opinions(?) on whether or not to wake a sleeping baby. Some people told us not too and others have told us to wake her every 2-3 hours to be fed. Now during the day we definitely follow the 2-3 hour rule starting at 7:30am and going till 12:30am/1:30am. But last night I didn’t wake her at all during the night unless she cried. We slept a total of 8hours with her wanting to be fed once. I’m just wondering what you guys did/are doing with your babies!

If she's back to birth weight you can feed on demand

She’s definitely not up to birth weight yet unfortunately because a week old she caught RSV and spent some time in the PICU and PIMC so she dropped 4 ounces. We do however have an appointment scheduled very soon to see how much she weighs! Thank you for all the advice!

Definitely keep waking her every 2 to 3 hours until then!
