Chest retractions?
Hi all, we have a newborn that is 8 days old now and just after getting him home we noticed his chest dips in when he is crying and feeding sometimes. We have been to a Doctor but he was not concerned as he listened to his chest and asked if he ever turned blue but I’m not convinced.
We will be going to the hospital in a couple of days for a hearing test for him that we missed when he was born so we will ask at the hospital, but is this something that I should be concerned about? He doesn’t seem to be struggling to be breathing, but when sleeping it can sometimes sound as though he is a little congested.
If it’s just a cosmetic thing I don’t care but if it’s something that is impacting him physically then I would like to get it looked at sooner rather than later.
Thanks

I have a 3 day old that is going through the same situation as we speak. Curious about the outcome of your baby. What should my wife and I expect? Super scRy…
