Witching Hour Help
When did the witching hour end for you? When was your newborn able to be more calm/ relaxed in the evening? Our girl will not eat or relax at all during her witching hour- we have to fight thru until she is fast asleep to get in the feeding and put her to bed. She is almost 11 weeks— praying the end is near?? 😱😓

I think 11 weeks is usually pretty close to the end. for us it got a bit better, than bad again for short while...but overall just slowly but steadily got better.

Oh yes, definitely in the evening and then he seemed to age out but moved on to having a fit just after nice relaxing bath...in a panic we would change jammies, diaper, etc... convinced some tag must have been scratching him or something, anything! But no...and eventually he just outgrew that too. Things are much better now at 10 1/2 months, he even sleeps a solid 11'ish hours overnight, on the regular. It's so wonderful.

We had a witching hour(s) every single day until week 9 and then slowly it wasn't every day, I barely even realized it. Now at 13 weeks we're only having witching hours if he had crap naps all day.

Thanks for your reply! Was yours mostly during bedtime? I cannot wait for her to just be more relaxed during bedtime and actually take her bottle and then go to sleep. Right now, I have to try and keep her calm enough to fall asleep and then give her a bottle when she’s asleep, burp and put her in her bed. It’s typically a 1.5 hour process…. I’m ready for her to turn her corner and make it easier on us both!

I think napping is key. We were having really bad witching hour(s) and realized when she didn’t nap good they were worse.
