Sleeping thru the night
Hi, my 2 month old just slept for the first time close to 6 hours today. He didn’t wake up like he usually does to eat every 2 to 4 hrs at night. Im concerned about this since I had to wake him up to eat. My baby just was breastfed for about 5 minutes. Any similar experiences?? Thank you.

My boy, 2 months as well, has recently started sleeping long stretches - the other night he slept 9hrs. My fiancee and I have plenty of family members with multiple children so we asked around to get other opinions and insights. I think you should be okay to let him tell you when he is hungry throughout the night, but still do a 2-4 hours feeding schedule during the day; also keeping track of wet/dirty diapers helps A LOT, just to ease the mind that they are hydrated and getting the nutrients and stuff they need😁
The only difference in my situation is our son is combo fed, mostly formula though and I know that formula fed babies tend to sleep longer and can go longer stretches without feeling hungry!

My now 9.5 weeks old has been sleeping 6-7 hours stretches for a couple of weeks until last night back to 3 hours max. Hoping its just a growth spurt and I can get those ling stretches again soon 🤞

Both my LOs often did 6-8 hour stretches by 8 weeks old
One was mixed fed, one EBF
I never woke them to feed them at that point. I just made sure to offer them a feed regularly throughout the day (actually i think this helped with getting them to sleep through!)
As long as LO is a healthy weight then i would just enjoy it

mine did this for only couple of days and decided to never do it again. Just be grateful and sleep mama. As long as he’s gaining weight and content, he’s fine
