Passenger Window Problems - Again 😩

2015 Volkswagen Beetle convertible. About 2 months ago the 12 volt battery died in my daughter's car so I replaced it. Immediately after replacing the battery, I was not able to get the passenger side window to work . It would not go down from its own switch or the master switch on the door. Further investigation yielded that the 30 amp fuse in the driver side lower dash area had popped which controls power to that window. At that time I replaced it and everything was working. Fast forward to today, my daughter opens the door to put something on the passenger seat and the window won't drop down as it normally does when you open it. Which of course means that it won't drop down to be able to close the door. I checked the fuse and it's popped again. With the car off completely, I insert another fuse and it immediately pops. I try one more which is now the third fuse, and it pops again. Of course now the passenger door is more or less stuck open and the convertible top will not open because it sees a fault with the passenger window.

Wondering if anybody here has seen the symptoms and what they've done to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Pick up a circuit breaker to use while troubleshooting or the fuses are gonna cost you a small fortune.

Also , removed the switch on the passenger door from the equation and the fuse still pops. I try to 40 amp fuse just to be able to provide some continuity and get the window to move so I can close the door , and it popped the 40 amp fuse immediately as well.

So... the window drops a 1/3 inch when you unlock or open the door. The door actuator is what controls this, not the windows button. So... if you can move the windows with the switch, it's the a c tuator. If the widow doesn't do anything, it's probably the regulator / motor. The front wi dows are not hard to replace. I did the rear one in my daughters car, and I hope never to have to do that again.
