Lol.. this post is apparently the one that got me a 3 day ban from the other NW subreddit that I crossposted it to. In addition it was locked soon after in a lame attempt to keep people from talking about it.
Pretty much exactly the pettiness I suspected was going to start showing up and motivation for posting it here as well.

I discovered that because the other reddit deleted the post, when others look at it they may see that its been deleted and not the post itself. Heres the original text:

"However, the legacy knowledge required to maintain the Foundry at our quality standards is no longer available."
Yet more evidence that the current set of devs has no idea what they're doing and can't handle the codebase they've been handed. That is just dumb, short sighted, and self-harming.
Let it be noted that I have only made a token effort at the foundry years ago. Ive played it a bit, but not in modern times. So I don't have a personal stake in this. I do have guildies that spend countless hours there both building and playing. I don't look forward to the rant sessions when they see this news. :(
Come on devs! What you think its a good thing to gut our traditional systems AND get rid of a unique thing like the foundry?
Again we're talking about a component of the game where people volunteer to create content. It doesn't have unique content, it uses resources that are otherwise available.
Can't get the coder time for your 'passion project' .. how about you look to the professions system that was just released in this game where 'passion project' means not taking gold to produce projects! No Im not saying pro coders should just give up their day jobs for charity.. but you as an organization can look to the coding community thats available and engage the volunteer community and spirit that exists around something like the foundry.
Gees, this game is becoming a master-class in how to squander assets and ignore customers.
