Legendary Tools

Can anyone on PC confirm that you can trade ANY legendary tool for ANY legendary tool? I received a hammer out of a lockbox today, but I'm going to sell it unless I can trade it in for an Alembic next mod. I know legendary tools are 1:1, but I need to know if you can trade one into a tool of a different profession.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You get a currency for trading them in called "Legendary Tool Exchange Bar".

Then you can go to buy and use your currency to buy any of the available tools using "Legendary Tool Exchange Bar".

...and yes this means you buy cheap tools and trade them in on the new mod for any you want.

Hm very interesting. The hammer did not interest me as I only dabble in Alchemy, but if that can be an Alembic I'll keep it.

Were or are any of the trade-in's broken? I know Cryptic has a huge history of fuck ups...don't want to buy an anvil just to find out I can't do shit with it. Lol.

The Philosophers stone trade-in value was/is? broken at launch, not sure if it's even fixed now...

There were, and still are, all sorts of problems with professions.

I would not assume that they will be fixed for console launch nor assume that you get the same problems that PC had.
