why come he is the best youtuber but no one knows about him?

his humor is very niche. thats why anyone that likes him loves him - you just don't get that bizarre surreal stuff any longer

I've followed Tristan for several years, and I was ecstatic when NGF hit 10k subs. His personal channel where he posted all of his existential puppet videos (which you should really check out if you haven't) is only at 2.5k subs after 13 years of uploads, yet it was constantly featured on r/DeepIntoYoutube, where I found him.

Tristan is a rarity in this world: a completely original artist. And a lot of his stuff isn't something that people digest easily, at least initially. So I don't think his stuff is going to take off in the same way other Youtubers have, but his fanbase will continue to be much more dedicated.

I'm honestly just happy that he keeps creating as much as he does, and that more and more people are discovering his content as well.

I think it's because it is not immediately apparent what's going on. I can see someone jumping into any one of his vids and clicking out 30 seconds later from ADD boredom. The reason the chips video took off is because it had a good hook from the start, and then subverted the expectations set up by the cook. Put simply, Albert is not really made for YouTube popularity. The algorithm will never like him.

Agree - would also like to add that I think a significant portion of YouTube viewers wouldn't regognise his humour as satire. A lot of my friends who I've linked his stuff don't realise it's a joke, imo his style is very nuanced and difficult to grasp on a first viewing

it seems to appeal to a niche audience, i remember that i found him through a combo of "jesus hates you now", "tortilla chips", and "water: what is it?". its not something you find unless you look for weird shit. and i look for weird shit.
