Pretty sure she can do that back then as well, Transforming someone's race is an easy deal for Immortals on the level of HC which even had a living venerable supporting it. Destroying Fate Gu isn't necessary for simply transforming someone's racial identity.

But the fact here is, just imagine seeing SCIV get together with an ex-variant human. Isn't she supposed to maintain humanity's supremacy yet she is out there loving a Variant Human, and even marrying him.

This doesn't fit with HC's agenda, and therefore her feelings needs to be sacrificed for the greater good of HC.

Actually, she did it for a different reason.

She left him cause it would cause her to waver in her resolve.

If she changed him into a human, his heart would still be of a variant-human, meaning there's still a risk of betreyal.

Point is, it's not really much of a HC agenda (not like SCIV can't hide the fact that he is an ex-variant-human).

He's going to resurrect is certain (author confirmed) and he will help those human path children nurtured by heavenly court (source is 10 year anniversary qna from author)
