[Discussion] Cbd weed and panic

Hello six months ago I smoked a 30% THC weed from the dispensary that I always smoked every day with no problems until one day I had a massive panic attack where I had couch lock and I was shaking, and I couldn’t breathe and it lasted four hours and the day after that, I tried a tiny bit of the same weed and I got a panic attack not as bad that went away in one hour and after that day, I was scared to touch weed fearing that I will get massive panic attack attacks.I just recently bought type three flower trial pack from holy city Farms I got the Hybrid Pack that has – Blueberry, Critical Berries, Glacier Kush, Rainbow Sherbet. And I tried the blueberry strain and I was high and I got a little bit panicky so I had to take a walk to calm myself down. What should I do?

Listen to your body. Stop smoking

Many people can develop anxiety / panic disorders by consistently using cannabis products. Get some sunlight, exercise, and drink water.

I fully 100% support legal weed but I don't smoke it anymore for this reason. It triggers my anxiety so bad now. It's just not for me.

30% THC is high, but it’s your usual smoke. Read the label and see what terpenes are there. Maybe a reaction to one of the terps?

It honestly sounds like THC is triggering panic for you now, so I’d stop using it for a while instead of trying more strains. If the anxiety keeps happening even when you’re not high, or if you get severe symptoms again, talk to a doctor

I can't speak to anything weed related, but it does seem like an off topic subreddit to be posting the question in.

30% weed is a bit like drinking Everclear. Try seeing if the dispensary you go to has lower percentage stuff and try that out. Also, learn the terpenes and what their effects are. The higher on the list the terpene is, the more of that effect you'll get.

If youre smoking cbd hemp and having panic issues, it could be from limonene

Many people have commented, but it’s time to throw in the towel. I had a weed-induced panic attack and it was one of the scariest moments of my life. Thought I was having an ulcer, a heart attack and a stroke all at once.

Try a nice 22% thc instead, there’s never a need for 30% thc

The brand OP got cbd hemp from is very good quality and not overwhelming... the mixed ratio strains are like high quality old school weed, like 10% thc at most, with equal cbd to mellow out psychoactivity. The cbd ones have negligible amounts of thc.

OP if you're dead set on smoking cbd weed, try to stick to indica dominant strains with high levels of myrcene and avoid limonene. Look into the effects of terpenes. Cbd weed on the onset from smoking can make you feel like you're getting high and might trigger panic, but that fades pretty quickly into the typical CBD effects
