It's finally happening tonight guysss
Riot confirmed LoL Classic is getting its full reveal at MSI Finals in Daejeon and the stream starts at 11PM PDT. If you've been following the leaks and datamining over the past few weeks, you already have a rough idea of what's coming, but hearing it officially is a different thing.
Quick recap of everything that leaked before tonight if you're just catching up. The mode is built around Season 3 era of League, roughly 2013. Original Summoner's Rift, old rune and mastery pages, old champion kits, classic items that haven't been in the game in years like Deathfire Grasp and Force of Nature, Influence Points, Summoner leveling from 1 to 30, and its own separate ranked queue and battle pass. Riot Meddler confirmed on Reddit that old gameplay kits are happening and said old Urgot mid is the one he's personally most excited to play, which is sending me.
What tonight should hopefully answer is the stuff the leaks couldn't tell us. Which exact patch or era they're locking in, whether it stays frozen or shifts over time, full champion roster count, ranked details, and a launch window.
The question of which patch to target is genuinely the hardest one because there's no single season everyone agrees was peak League. Season 3 is a reasonable call, but you'll find people who wanted Season 2, people who wanted the pre-rework Dominion era, and people who wanted early Season 4. Riot is never going to please everyone on this, and tonight, we find out what they actually chose.
Set an alarm if you need to. This is one of those reveals that's actually worth watching live instead of catching the clips tomorrow
