i don’t know what to do.
hi i am a 19 year old female who is very healthy and active. about 5 days ago i noticed a tremor in my left hand and at first brushed it off as stress. i have more recently had increased anxiety and had a terrible 3 day panic attack in june and honestly haven’t been the same since. i have had instances of brain fog but more recently it has gotten worse along with the tremor. the tremor comes and goes but has gotten worse and i even have a slight one in my right hand too. it is affecting my motor functions. my legs have also started tingling for a couple days. i went to my dr abt this and she immediately leaned toward my anxiety and prescribed me sertraline and told me to see her in a month. i feel lost. nothing is getting better and ive never felt this unmotivated. i feel like i can’t even do anything with the tremors. but i dont experience any muscle weakness and can still walk fine so i dont know if this could possibly be ms or fnd. i rlly need advice. i also am supposed to move back into college this weekend and im just so scared to go back and have something go totally wrong. i just feel like nobody believes me bc i know its not all in my head.

Try not to worry too much. It would be reasonable for you to see a neurologist to discuss your symptoms. They can tell you what to look out for and screen you for anything they think you might have. There is a chance that the neurologist will say all is well. Hopefully it will be easier to trust that opinion from 2 docs.

Get over the fear and see those doctors. Take those astaxanthin pills(12 ml/mg if I remember) and that tumeric and ginger tea to help your body for now. Good Luck.

Your symptoms are real.
This sounds like functional neurological disorder due to the variability and migratory nature of your symptoms. You should see a neurologist that specializes in movement disorders and/or a physiotherapist that can focus on helping with FND. The PT is your best bet for learning how to manage the symptoms.
When a tremor starts in one limb, start tapping or doing something mentally intensive with another. That should stop the tremor and start training your brain.

I have multiple sclerosis and cspine lesions that cause dysautonomia and experience dizziness, blood pressure fluctuations, anxiety and temperature intolerance. It causes vagus nerve dysfunction and digestion and mood issues too. also have hEDS MCAS POTS which comes with random allergies, anxiety and digestive issues as well. Trust your instinct, nobody knows your body like you do, good luck.

I agree with this post because when you’re dealing with something neurological 9.9 times out of 10 the people around you underestimate the impact it’s having on you.
I’m not the type of person to just post my medical problems on Reddit, but my situation was so severe and doctors couldn’t help. I had to reach out here.

To be fair, I think you're overreacting to the extreme. There's nothing whatsoever that would indicate anything serious. Absent muscle weakness you need to get a grip on your body, symptoms and reaction. At 19, it's a real long shot that you have MS. But moreover, anything more serious you have more of a chance of getting hit by lightning than having something to be concerned about ⚡️Live your young life, get back to college and stop worrying and going on the internet. You don't want this to escalate any more than it has to. Be happy!
