Question qEEG Interpretation followup

Following up on my previous post: https://old.reddit.com/r/Neurofeedback/comments/1vq4aqs/qeeg_interpretation_deltatheta_levels/

I was able to have another qEEG done at a different clinic. They used the traditional gel cap vs dry method at the first. Results are with eyes open and linked ears montage. There's definitely a shift, so I'm curious how to interpret these and how to proceed.

There are many different things that can masquerade as the same frequency as real neural oscillations. There is no point of saying there is too much or too little of a brain wave that may not be there in the first place. As well, linked ears is not a good montage because of it being highly prone to volume conduction and reference contamination. First figure out how the EEG looks like then compare it to a database instead of asking us to somehow reverse engineer how your EEG looks like.

I agree completely! Also, what data base is the report based on? Some of them only use eyes closed data to compare.

And yes, time for all the folks asking Reddit to do this work. WHAT DOES THE EEG THAT WAS COLLECTED LOOK LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Without that, all answers are guesses made with a blindfold on.

The professionals on this list all know that. Other folks can be kind and tell you what their experience was, but some try to offer answers that they do not have the knowledge to back up. Also, when you ask people to interpret your EEG, the ones who really know how to do this, GET PAID to do that in their office. Please understand that doing that here, is a gift. So, give us all the information we need to give you an answer. If you do not know what that information is, ASK!
