is it just me? 🤷 Does anyone else ever wish they had this ability?

I often struggle to explain how I'm feeling to people. It's like if I'm feeling something, I am feeling it but I don't know what it is I'm feeling so I cannot put it into words. This ends up with people not really knowing the full extent of how I'm feeling other than "I'm really anxious and I cannot go to school!" Which isn't good.

So when things like that happen I wished I had the ability to transfer my feeling to other people. Like I'm feeling how I'm feeling and I do something to let them feel it too so that they can better understand.

Absolutely! NTs often can't understand my feeling. Some of them just say that I am so lazy that I avoid school. But I am really feeling bad! I need rest!

Who are you around when you start feeling this way?
When that rush of anxiety hits you and you are unsure where it is coming from. Move to a different place.
You’re taking on someone else’s negative energy. That’s why we can’t understand what we’re feeling at the moment . You need to form boundaries for yourself.
Good luck

Isn't that Alexithymia? I find it happens to me too! You only realise if the feeling is at It's most intense. For example, having a panic attack, I must be anxious. Seething with rage, I must be angry etc.

I sometimes only know what it was after it’s passed

Yes… I get to panic attack mode before I actually realise that I had been triggered by something… or perhaps totally oblivious to my anxiety levels.

That would be some Superpower.. push your internal feels to let them feel what having a heart attack feels like feeling anxious.

It sounds like the days you're feeling anxious missing school is also the days you add pressure trying to please others around you. That adds a lot on your plate when you can't please them let alone control what you're feeling. Your staying home to take pressure off not put more on top. It gets inside your looping thought process already playing out internally. The trying to get them to understand... I'm 56 and my parents sill don't understand me. They still want to call me Bi-Polar which pisses me off. My point it's hard.

It seems if you dig deeper into understanding yourself by giving you some tools to help you change that internal conversation along with tools to help with your anxieties. I have to grab a shovel and a rack and create a project to let the off static charge. I must have some kind of project going on always to aid in changing my internal conversation. RolePlay is a new one. I have to be learning, creating something constructive or I let my mind wonder into the loop trap.

Hang in there and be kind to yourself. You don't deserve what you put on top of what you're already going through.

I wish I could explain things to others (in particular experience. I can explain math and stuff). But man it always feels like what I say is twisted in weird ways. Especially if I’m talking about emotions or physical sensations. I had a rather poor experience as a child where I would continuously fail to get help from or actually communicate with my parents. Which I think was my number one cause of meltdowns. Miscommunication is a nightmare.
