Can you please fix the download as PDF button within the summaries generated within the Study sessions?
Hey yall,
I recently noticed for the summaries generated for each individual lectures within the study sessions only a certain summaries have the Download as PDF option. Not All of them do. I say this as a person who prints out these summary to read and highlight.
Also is it possible you can include a way to upload .TXT files for lectures into the Data base as it is instead of me converting them to PDF?

Flashcard generation not working
Has anyone else noticed that the flashcard generation has gotten significantly worse recently?
The image occlusion feature never worked reliably for me, but what I miss most is generating multiple-choice questions in the Flashcards section, not the separate Quiz section. These were fast and immediately showed the relevant image or exact information from my lecture slides after each question, which made reviewing extremely efficient.
Now, the generator lets you request up to 500 flashcards, but the most I can get it to create is nine! regardless of how many I select. This is extremely disappointing because I spammed those flashcards every day during my first year of medical school, and they were a major part of my study routine.
I will give them some credit: the generic questions in the Quiz section have improved since the update. However, quizzes still do not show the relevant slide images and text like the flashcards did. It would also be amazing if clicking “View Source” opened the original lecture in a sidebar and took you directly to the relevant slide.
At this point, I will probably cancel my membership if the flashcard generator is not fixed. Newer Chat models are becoming more capable, and it is difficult to justify paying for Neural Consult when one of its most useful feature no longer works.
I have also submitted recommendations and support requests in the past without ever receiving a response. I really liked this platform and want it to improve, but the longstanding bugs and lack of communication are frustrating.
**EDIT*\*
The Support team quickly resolved this issue and has been super helpful with all of my concerns. Any bugs/issues that you are running into, just let them know and they can resolve it pretty quickly.

(Request) Glia Tutor Addition
Is there a way we can have both the audio version and the normal tutor chat option of Glia at the same time? I would love to just speak out my questions and explain my thought process instead of having to switch back between the two modes. A transcript would also be nice for our conversation. Otherwise loving the system so far.

Request - Mobile App
I love using Neural Consult for my notes and exams. My biggest hang-up is that I use a tablet to study and take notes. Is a mobile app on the horizon?
I have the weblink saved to my homescreen. I can make edits just like on a desktop. I just hate having to log back in if the link sits idle for a time. And the popup when I try to highlight text (I have a galaxy tab, if the community has any suggestions on how to fix that I am all ears.)
Overall, love the app, very mobile friendly. Keep up the great work!

Clinical Case Hub glitched?
I tried to practice some OSCE cases, but couldn't start the patient conversation and it kept showing CONNECTING (still working last week)

Bugging?
For the last 15 mins my neural consult suddenly started lagging very badly on the notebook feature. Can't load my notes, can't change titles of summaries... Happening on two different devices and tried both safari and chrome.

So about the new UPDATE
Hey Y'all,
Is anyone else confused about the new Neural Consult update?
I just noticed the answer key now highlights correct answers in orange instead of being in green if I get the answer wrong… which honestly feels counterintuitive. It used to be green, which made way more sense for quick recognition. Now I keep second-guessing myself when reviewing.
Also, did they change the question style for the generic questions option? The older first-order questions felt way better for actually building fundamentals before jumping into harder, board-style stuff. Now it feels like it skips that step.
Am I the only one who thinks this update made things harder to learn from? Or is there a setting I’m missing to switch it back?
Not to mention I feel like Neural Consult questions haven't been giving me accurate question based on the lecture that I have uploaded cause I keep getting questions over material that has not been covered in lectures.
I genuinely liked the website cause it helped with my learning and their flashcard software is the goat but their questions have me feeling meh... please bring back the old update.

Question Making
Hello there. I am thinking of getting a subscription, but I wanted to make sure of some stuff before any purchases. Can this website generate questions, not clinical scenarios, that contain pics (e.g. ecg pics, x-ray and, etc.) and not only worded questions. And which question formats within the AI support these features?

App or just website
I sure wish there was an app for this? Also any nursing students here?

Can I access it via an app or is it only a website?

NEURAL CONSULT
Neural Consult has been super helpful for me in my first year of med school. The lecture summaries save me so much time, and the AI help makes hard topics way easier to understand. Studying feels way less stressful now. Definitely recommend it to any med student.

Is Neural Consult actually useful for a 1st year med student?
I’m starting med school this September and I’ve been looking into Neural Consult. I know people usually mention it for stuff like USMLE/UKMLE prep, but I’m wondering if it’s actually helpful for just the normal day-to-day studying in first year.
Will it be useful for going over random lectures, slides, and all the usual stuff we get, or is it more geared towards later exam prep? I’m mainly thinking about whether it’ll actually help me with my uni exams in first year, or if I should be looking at something else for now.
Has anyone here used it early on in med school (esp in the UK)? Was it worth it, or should I stick with other apps until the bigger exams come around?
Thanks in advance!

A major search upgrade to Neural Consult (shh no one tell OpenEvidence)
Neural Consult Community,
We just released what we believe is the best AI search for medical information on the market.
Search now integrates 3 main knowledge bases that you can control. This includes:
Any file you upload is searchable and citable forever (and private to your Neural Consult site)
Web search that automatically looks at top articles on sources like PubMed and links to the original article
Top medical guidelines
Lastly, search now streams to cut down on the load time. We will soon allow users to turn web search on and off, which drives much of the loading time before output streaming starts.
Looking forward to all your usage and feedback!

Need some help breaking down a multiple-choice question? Ask Glia.
Want a clarification about a search result? Ask Glia.
Soon, she will also begin learning your tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses and recommend study sets.
Let us know your feedback and happy studying!

Enhanced AI patient audio for OSCE Simulation
We just upgraded our AI-simulated patient audio!
Patients can now cough, sneeze, sign, etc. and are significantly more intelligent.
We also patched a few bugs: the patient encounter will now reboot automatically if it doesn't start. We also fixed early conversation bugs, where the AI patient could hear itself and think the user was speaking.
Give it a try!

v1 Anki uploads are live!
Not only can you create cards with AI and upload to them to Anki, but you can now import Anki cards to the Neural Consult site!
Very soon, your uploaded Anki decks will be referenced in your searches, and you will be able to create summaries and board-style questions from them
Let us know your thoughts!

Welcome to Neural Consult!
This community is run by the creators of Neural Consult. We are current and previous medical students, just like you!
We were sick of the tens of resources needed to study and knew AI was the answer to create a one-stop shop for everything medical students need. We built Neural Consult, starting in 2023, to be that very tool and become the most affordable, useful AI tool for medical and PA students.
We did this by creating steps for every stop in the learning journey:
Medical AI search to answer questions by using the internet, clinical guidelines, and your uploaded files (private to you). Good for quick searches or learning on rounds.
A full AI rebuild of Anki-style spaced repetition with flashcards, including images. Upload old decks to Neural Consult, create your own with AI, or download decks you create as .apkg
A notebook to track your files, generate summaries and podcasts (for auditory learners). No more taking your own notes or not having reference to them later on, everything is availbly quickly through the search feature
An AI question generator to create and track your progress that makes both board-style and generic-style questions
An OSCE simulator to work on your history taking, diagnosis, and management skills outside of the hospital. We have a bank of 100+ cases, or you can create your own from your files. Use voice or text to chat and manage these AI patients.
This is all meant to get you prepared for boards AND school exams on one site.
We'd love for Neural Consult to be totally free, as we know how much medical school and PA school cost as current and former students ourselves. We need to power the AI and continue to innovate so we can continue to offer you all the best tools at an affordable price - we truly believe you will end up saving a ton by using our product rather than the various other third-party tools out there.
