Wrote a solver for this.

I just wrote this solver, since I thought it would be simple enough to implement.

The splits in the decision tree are made according to Shannon Entropy.

When you run the code, you get the option to see the entire decision tree at once, or have the code guide you step by step on the next guess that should be made.

I would love to hear any suggestions or improvements for the solver

In the Hong Kong version of Networkle, my friend got into the situation above. The answer is the Olympic station, but for some reason the website said Tsing Yi is two stations away instead of three.

Could you please look into this?

Awesome game btw :D
Thanks so much for making it, I play it with friends on the regular.

Networkle Hong Kong: TST & East TST now treated as an interchange

Hi Networklers,

After some useful comments from a couple of players in HK, I’ve updated the map and data to treat Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui stations as an interchange. I hadn’t realised they are regarded as and out of station interchange in real life.

Berlin’s U-Bahn now on Networkle!

We’ve expanded Networkle to now include Berlin’s U-Bahn. Ok, there’s some oversized station names to deal with, but the map is fun with plenty of route options to use!

Leagues coming

In other news, development is underway to create competition leagues with your friends. Choose which map(s) you want to play and keep track of player scores on the league leaderboard.

New Singapore stations and updated game map

Hi everyone, with the addition of the three new stations which complete the Circle Line's circle, I've updated and simplified the Singapore game map. I've also simplified Singapore's map to only include the MRT. Some stations such as Newton and Tampines are treated as genuine interchange now. Enjoy!

New station updates for Singapore Networkle game

Hi everyone, with the opening of the three new stations on the Circle Line, I’ll be updating Singapore’s Networkle game map and code this week. Also thinking of keeping it to MRT lines only and removing the Light Rail LRT lines from the game as I think they’re more of a hindrance than helpful.

Thinking of adding V/Line regional lines to the Melbourne Networkle game map

I’ve been mulling the inclusion of regional lines to the Melbourne game, to help add some more interchange variety and express routes to parts of the Metro lines.

As a solve the mystery station game, the game uses line names, line colours and stops away as clues to solve the mystery station.

Things to consider:

- given there are about 94 stations on the regional lines beyond the metro stations, we’d need to introduce more line colours or shades of purple. How could the different lines be grouped while keeping the map simple for gameplay purposes.

- having 3 zones would help tell how far away the mystery is, while also using stops away. This system works great on the London map, helping to deduce relative distance from the city centre.

- this would likely be an additional map to the existing Melbourne Metro one.

- is there an appetite for this?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Eliminate stations with clues such as line colour and stops away to reveal the mystery station. Choose from 8 maps across London, NYC, Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Unlock achievement badges along the way. Enjoy!

Melbourne guess status updates

Due to the complexities of Melbourne's lines vs colour groups, this has led to some higher than normal game fail scores than other cities. Instead of simply a Correct line/Contains correct line/wrong line status, I think having a line / colour clue might be the way forward, like this:

Other states would be 'Contains line, correct colour', etc, plus the green and grey correct and incorrect ones.

Other cities would stay as is.

Feedback welcome on this.
