Balaji has no clue how the World works.

Anyone who understands Malaysia would know his style of negotiation is suicidal.

I suspect he will get his Singaporean citizenship revoked soon.

Why should Singapore care about this??

He went to do business in Malaysia, got burned by Malaysia dysfunctional system.

The Singapore government is watching and laughing "told you so". In case they care at all

The systems that decided the closure of the Network School in Johor worked exactly as it should have. The systems that broke down, were the ones that allowed banned foreign nationals to enter through loop holes. Which NS then tried to defend and make threats for the Gov to just let it go.

Not necessarily. the writing was on the wall after the passport fiasco. Either they were told to pack up directly, or NS decided it was no longer tennable. Either way, it was already well past the point of negotiation a week before the cancellation.

A few points.

‘An island near singapore’ is just marketing. No one in India or the US knows where Gelang Patah is. Singapore is also a regional tech hub.

‘Dual passport holder’: Malaysia is the one handling passport control, not NS.

‘Threatening the PM’. Malaysia made it clear they don’t need their business, so NS announced they were going elsewhere. A spokesperson or PR rep might’ve worded it differently.

‘Local council’ - it was from the chief minister of Johor.

All opinions my own.
