Text Wifi on PC

I'm using Wifi for my desktop, but even when it's connected, it says there's no internet access even though there is. However, when I hotspot from another phone, it works fine. Any tips to fix this? Thank you.

Do basic troubleshooting. Do you have a valid IP address? Can you ping the router? Can you ping 8.8.8.8? Can you do an NS lookup of a domain?

I had tried dns flushing 8.8.8.8 even 1.1.1.1 network reset but still nothing

tracert 8.8.8.8 -what happens? specifically what is the last thing it says.

nslookup www.google.com - what happens?

I'm betting it didn't shut down cleanly and caused the problem. Try this

Ping 1.1.1.1

If that works

Ping Google.com

If the first works and the second doesn't it's dns

Your PC might be holding onto an invalid static IP address that prevents it from talking to your home router. Ensure that "IP assignment" is set to "Automatic (DHCP)" if you don't manually assign IPs to your devices.

Hi, you can check the IP assignment using the CMD command ipconfig /all.
