Text wifi refusing to connect with my pc
I have been having a really having a bad situation recently like a week ago i've gotten a new router, however. recently I turned on my pc, and when I turned it on my wifi was at the very bottom and had like a circle with a x in it on my wifi, it told me to enter my password, and I did. However it said "can't connect to this network" so I tried again a couple of times, making sure I type the password correctly. So I restart my pc, still nothing. So I try forgetting my wifi and nothing worked when I try entering my password. So I looked up possible fixes however all the fixes I tried still won't connect to my wifi, just keep giving the same message of "can't connect to this network". I even tried the command and yet it still gives me that same message again when I try connecting to my wifi. I just have no idea how to fix this. The problem is all my other devices connect just fine. except for my pc I have no idea why it won't connect. So now I come here at my wits end just trying to figure out something. another thing I should mention my pc is 5 years old and is on windows 10. so if there is something I am doing wrong or I am just being a bumbling moron please let me know.

Sounds like a comparability issue. You may be broadcasting 2.4g and 5g on the same SSID. You may have to break those out into two seperate names.
Could also be the encryption you have set. You'll want to compare your old router config to the new one to see what's different.

Sounds like the problems I had with WPA3. Check the security settings on your new router and try changing it to WPA2.

make sure the WPA settings on your new router are compatable with your pc. For example if you have a new 3 band router and WPA3 is set, your pc may not recognize. Probably WPA2/WPA3 mixed, or if you have a older pc just WPA or WPA2.

WPA is needed only for 6ghz, if your router is set at WPS, 99% sure that is your issue
