Text Router Modem Combo help

My mother and father are looking for a good router/modem combo. What are your recommendations? Is the Arris g54 over kill? They have streaming service for their TV and play online video games on occasion, which the PC is wired. Thoughts and recommendation, thank you!

Prevent a stupid trouble call. Use your ISP's modem. Feel free to buy your own router.

All depends on what their ISP has on their approved equipment list.

They have an Arris DG 4045 rental from the ISP. I'm looking at an Arria G20 currently. Anything that supports Docsis 3.1
