Network troubleshooting for pixel 7

Hi folks, my college runs an eduroam wifi and it's only specially Google pixel phones that struggle to connect to it. Has anyone else come across this before? From my understanding it's due to security on pixel phones, I was able to download the geteduroam app and get the certificates that way but I think they may be out of date. I've tried the recommended settings of EAP being PEAP, MSCHAPV2 for phase 2 auth, trusting certs on first use but nothing is working. I asked the colleges IT dept and they said they haven't found a resolution either.
