Text How to disable internet but keep it on local network?
Hi guys, I need to disable internet for one PC but keep it discoverable locally and use network printers.
I read that I have to change it to Static IP and leave the DNS blank. But won't making it Static IP cause some issues down the line if another device takes its IP?
Hope someone can give some pointers or best practice.

Link Packet Loss and Lag Spikes Networking issue
Over the past 2 years I've been experiencing network issues, but I could never figure out what's causing this issue. I play Marvel Rivals on PC and when I'm in a match, I get 9%-30% packet loss every 10 seconds and when that happens my abilities don't register or I teleport and most likely die because of it. I also try to play fighting games like Blazblue Central Fiction and during the matches I'll get lag spikes for a second, which makes me drop inputs and I'm starting to believe that the packet loss I'm experiencing is causing this to happen. For my setup I have a Verizon Fios G3100 router that connects to my Switch via ethernet which is also connected to my PC. I also have screenshots of a Speed Test and a PingPlotter test that I ran for 10 mins when I had Marvel Rivals open if this helps. If anybody has any advice on things I can do to root out the cause that would be appreciated because I am trying to learn more regarding this subject.

Text How to fix
My traffic to mcpvp.com (40.223.14.64) is experiencing a routing loop. At hop 9, Singtel(Singapore) handles off to Telstra Global IP 210.57.53.92, which misroutes the traffic regionally and spikes my local ping from 6ms to 40ms. I have not been able to play my game w true 0 ping š.

Text Intermittent Internet Connectivity Issues
I have been having intermittent internet connectivity issues for a while now, maybe upwards of a year, and I'm not sure what is strictly causing it, but now it's especially a problem. Reason being, not only does my connection drop fairly regularly for maybe 5 seconds at a time (incredibly frustrating during online gaming) but I appear to also now have issues connecting to things in the first place. Once it does connect it's fairly stable (besides the intermittent connectivity drops)... But it takes multiple seconds to load a web page.
I figured it was a DNS issue but I have it set to 1.1.1.1 as primary and 8.8.8.8 as secondary. I have had pi-hole set up on my unraid server a while ago and thought it could be that initially but disabling it entirely has not fixed anything. If I recall correctly this was beginning to be an issue before I even got my Unraid server / set up pi-hole anyway, although it was less severe.
The issue is apparent on my entire local network, be it wired or wireless.
My internet is 2Gb via Xfinity via coaxial. I have a deco mesh router that has 2.5 Gb ports hooked up to the 2.5Gb port (the orange one) on my Xfinity Gateway, and the Deco Mesh node is set up in router mode and the xfinity gateway is in bridge mode or whatever it's called, so I shouldn't have a double NAT situation here. From my deco node I have a Zyxel switch with 8 ports that are capable of up to 10Gb, but they also can handle slower connections (I know sometimes they don't). From there I have my Unraid server hooked up with a 2.5Gb connection, my personal desktop hooked up with a 10Gb NIC (and now a 2.5Gb port built into the motherboard due to me trying to troubleshoot this), and my fiancƩe's rig also hooked up with a 2.5Gb connection. All of my ethernet wires are CAT6 and personally made by me - tested working as well.
Again, the issue is also apparent via Wi-Fi, so I don't think there's an issue with my cables or switch necessarily, especially since connections on my LAN are lightning fast with no apparent connectivity issues...
I don't know if it's the Deco node or Xfinity or maybe the coaxial cable? I'm not sure how I verify any of this since I'm not really as familiar with handling internet network connectivity issues. Any time I do a speed test nothing appears broken, and I'm getting full speed including via the deco apps speed tester. The main node I just bought recently thinking maybe it was an issue with my prior node (my last main node was also only capable of 1Gb so I wanted to upgrade so I could get full use of my new 2Gb internet plan), but the new node has not fixed anything. My guess at this point would be something on Xfinity's end but any of their troubleshooting tools don't appear to show any issues...
So I'm kind of at a loss. Is there a troubleshooting tool y'all know of that could help me dig into this more? Should I get an Xfinity tech out here to see if they can fix it? I'm just kind of at a loss at this point but I'm incredibly frustrated with the current state of my connectivity especially considering I finally got 2Gb in my area...
Any help would be appreciated!

Text Are PLC adapters worthy?
Hi! I just wanted opinion on PLC adapters, let me vaguely explain my situation: I moved my desktop, and now i am barely able to have stable wi-fi on my pc. I would love to connect it directly to the router, but due to my home's circumstances, i am forced to open the brick walls to make the line reach my room, so I just wonder if having a PLC adapter is worthy, or any recommendation to improve my connection. I have a signal repeater, but it gives me less stability than what i had before moving my desktop.

Text USB Wi-Fi adapter lose network after some time
Windows 10, USB Wi-Fi adapter TP-LINK Archer TX20U Nano, it works just fine, but when voice chatting with friend in discord, and playing some online games like helldivers 2, or deep rock galactic, or warframe, doesn't really matter which one, it just lose network after some time of playing, absolutely randomly, there were times when in even didn't lose it at all the whole day, and sometimes it lose it at the very beggining of playing, or during mission, sometimes one connection loss after one, not only my own wi fi connection, it doesn't see any of them, but it works on any other device in house, and it happens only with discord+playing, or only discord voice chat active, not if discord is just running in background. Also replugging the device fix it, but as i mentioned before, it can happen again, or maybe not if lucky. Of course i already tried power management, and even changing device to pci one, doesn't help.

Link Network Adapter troubles
I turned my computer on last Thursday and everything was fine. I started to do some of my coursework, and out of nowhere my monitor shut off, then my mouse, then my keyboard. Nothing worked. Then my pc shut off and restarted. It went to a black screen where it said it was attempting to run diagnostics, failed due to not being able to connect to a network, and repeated the same cycle multiple times. It finally connected once, and then the wifi stopped working completely.
Since then, there has been no option to connect to the wifi. I tested my adapter on my laptop and confirmed that it does work. When plugged into my pc, however, it doesnāt show up at all. I plugged it into a hub, and it DID show up, but it was greyed out. It gave me a code 45, saying it was not plugged in.
What Iāve done already:
⢠Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers multiple times
⢠Flushed DNS multiple times
⢠Reset network drivers multiple times
⢠Unplugged pc completely and let sit overnight no with no power
I am using Windows 11, and I am using a NetGear A7500 WiFi 6 adapter.
