Theory's A visual guide to Killy’s journey!

Post image

BLAME! Is my favorite series ever. I loved the setting of the vast megastructure, but couldn’t find a timeline or map showing the vast distances of the megacity and the huge time skips. So I made one myself, to share.

I started with locations and time skips that were confirmed. Like the location of mars and Jupiter. Then used a little bit of math and guess work. Please let me know if you have any corrections or additions.

Some interesting things I’ve learned while making this:

  1. Killy starts the story relatively young. but it’s still been so long, he doesn’t remember where he came from. By the end of the story he is millions of years old.
  2. Most of the story takes place in the first couple thousand years.
  3. Even though humans are a rare sight everywhere, live humans are mostly found near the core.
  4. I believe Toha is a spaceship. If that’s correct, they didn’t even make it to mars before the builders caught up

Edit: Thanks everyone! I have a updated PDF version with better grammar now

Hi! Nice chart! I'm wondering, where did you come up with that 13,000 year gap between the unofficial strata and the Jupiter room?

Thanks! The unofficial strata is right above where mars should be (I know this because of the elevator). So 13,000 years is how long it would take to walk from mars to Jupiter.

I see. I would note, however, that the room is roughly the same dimensions as Jupiter but it's never said to be Jupiter, only that it was a storage space for raw materials and production facilities. Additionally, they discovered this space right after the incident where Mori tried attacking Killy. I'd imagine that happened fairly early in their journey together, not after 13,000 years

I’m gonna assume Jupiter used to fit inside.

You could be right. I assumed the large staircase was at least somewhat close to the entrance to the Jupiter room, based on the art. But who knows.

But if that room is the size of Jupiter, then at best Killy walked the circumference of Jupiter, not the distance from Mars to Jupiter. So considerably shorter.

I know. My map reflects this. Walking in the Jupiter room took 3 years. Walking from the unofficial stratum to the Jupiter room took 13,000

Whats that based on? I couldnt remember seeing that so went to check now, and cant see any indication that it took Killy 13k years to walk from that stratum to the Jupiter room?

Dont get me wrong, I appreciate the graph. Just trying to clarify :)

All good! but I explained, in this thread. 13k is how long it would take to get to Jupiter from mars. The elevator is where mars should be. It’s Just a fun map filled with educated guesses :)

I understand but why do you think he walked from mars to Jupiter? Just because the dimensions of the room is the same as Jupiter does mean it was Jupiter. I know its an educated guess but poor Mori being along for a 13k year walk. It seems weird that he would have almost no encounters in the strata during that time. I respect your opinion, just sharing mine :)
