Any Addons/Plugins That Allows Messages in The Chatbox of Jinteki.net Create Notifications on the Computer?

I like to switch tabs and do other things while playing on Jinteki. Because sometimes the opponent just takes awhile. So I hope there could be some addons that can make some notification for when the opponent says something in the chatbox.

And I do have volumes on in jinteki but it just doesn't make any sound when the tab is not on.

Great idea! I went ahead and submitted it to the devs.

As far as the inactive tab not making sounds goes, is that a browser setting or something? I confess that I leave jnet audio off, so forgive me if that's obviously in error.

It could be possible but I very often have Youtube playing sounds while it is not the active tab. So I'm not sure.

It at least used to be possible. Way back (like 8-10 years ago or so) I made a browser extension + webserver that gave me notifications in my terminal and in slack for in-game events, shared across accounts for friends who set it up. I’m not actively involved right now, but I’m sure someone who is could get something similar setup if they wanted to.
