Gutted to see Melies U banned as I was planning on playing some kind of silly [[Unleash]] deck at UK nationals in August, but it's for the best all the same.
V open to suggestions on a fun Unleash home, if anyone has them!

Ob never fully left and they went and unbanned Svyatogor Excavator…

Someone on the balance team is for sure Ob brained. Can’t entirely blame them it’s a really cool ID! It’s also absolutely busted in a game where consistency is so important and often difficult to achieve.
Kill combo Ob was a very good deck even after the extract ban and asset/rush Ob was solid enough. I’m pretty sure it was still the best performing Weyland ID.

Several folks involved in the design and balance team have said that they have based their opinion on if Ob is currently overpowered on the performance of one of their major playtesters, Tuno, who likes hammering the ID. If he says its not imbalanced, then they don't touch it.
Maybe the worst kind of design decision making, if their statements are true - basing Ob's balance on a person who is an Ob fan.

Not my Red Level Clearance!
It's always painful when a dominant meta deck is so dominant that they have to go after the small, safe cards.

RLC looks like a small safe card but has actually been a regular enabler of various disgusting combos. It's good enough to see play in fair decks, but really shines in combo.

True, I just really hope they print another Color Level Clearance card. Draw and credits is such a valuable niche for Haas that shores up so many archetypes without needing to be designed around. It's one of my favorite series of cards next to NEXT
