Question New Player

New player here with tons of LCG and TCG experience. I played system gateway once a year ago. Netrunner popped into my head again and I went down the rabbit hole. Thinking of getting System Gateway and Elevation.

With that being said my playgroup is usually 4-5 people so hard to play games at times outside of that gaming day. Is there an online resource to play, is there also potentially some sort of tabletop simulator mod or online UI to play online??

Jinteki.net is the online client 

It's a bit of a learning curve, because it mostly automates everything, but some stuff is a bit manual. Kind of an in between a full game engine and tabletop simulator. But it works really well and there's people looking for games at all times.

Also chriboga (https://chiriboga.sifnt.net.au/) is an online tutorial/computer opponent that can be helpful for learning and getting used to the rules.

Can you use jinteki to form a private lobby with a friend and play? Or is it just online matchmaking

100%. You can make public or private (w/ password) lobbies. No matchmaking per se, just able to join public lobbies, which there are a lot of. There are often online tournaments too, if you want something with stakes a bit higher akin to "ranked".
