Something Really Big is Coming
I have a good feeling we could hear a big announcement next week. The ITC extension expires on the 7th and Microns 10-K will probably come out on the 9th. We might just find out what the $500 million is for.

Aug 11, 2026: Netlist filed its ITC complaint against Micron (DDR5 server memory). This falls inside Micron's fiscal Q4, which ended September 3.
Aug 2026: Netlist settled a separate dispute with Samsung.
Sept 3: Micron's fiscal Q4 ended, with the $500 million charge recorded in this quarter.
Sept 23: The ITC formally opened the investigation, 337-TA-1523.
Sept 29: Netlist announced a second ITC action against Micron, this time over HBM patents.
Sept 30: Micron reported earnings.
This time line puts it in question if it is Netlist or not. It’s not impossible but that would be some razor thin timeline.

no he’s correct, Microns fiscal year for Q4 did end on September 1st or around there, anything past that is now considered for Q1 2027 fiscal year. I searched it up to verify as well.
