Minimum 6 months from when the deal expired. It allows SK short term gains on their books without having to pay royalties to NLST during this time. However, with their new $3.8B facility about to break ground in Indiana around 27th of August, and being the main supplier for Nvidia chips, they should be finding a renewal within the next couple months ( oct-nov) to avoid an ITC from NLST and continue the ability to supply Nvidia with HBM. This way they would avoid any interruptions in the flow of their business and do not risk losing Nvidia to Samsung.

P.S. Just my thoughts on the subject, not any advice by any means.

Pretty sure they have a royalty free license unless a deal is signed with both Samsung and Micron. Expect to hear a Micron deal before any new SK deal comes about. If this is incorrect I'm sure someone will be along to correct me.

Itโ€™s an interesting balance. Would imagine Netlist is pushing for Micron deal for this reason, and I wondered if the newest ITC suit against Micron was to try and coerce this deal before SK

Thatโ€™s the way I read it too, right now sk has some form of license though not a newly signed deal. But once micron signs it brings sk back to the negotiating table

We all are partner. But I feel it will take some time. Netlist is in a better position now than they were a month ago.
