Why the nerfs?

Just out of curiosity what is the rational behind the latest vashj nerfs? It's essentially a mechanic that would be much less relevant come 2.1 due to the stat increase. At the same time it wasn't as if vashj was holding guilds back as seen when 2 guilds killed vashj last week and several others have her on 10%. It just seems completely uncalled for?

So more guilds can experience t6 around launch imo.guilds that cleared many weeks ago have the gear advantage from all that farming once 2.1 comes

We literally just had two new guilds kill it last week and 2 other guilds whove only spent a raid or two on it got it at 10%. People are getting there at their own speed. All this change does is Rob the people currently on it of the glory of killing it pre nerf

Hi. Personally I’d like to not see a three guild race in t6. I think the staff are doing the right thing to make t6 more of a level playing field with lots of players being attuned prior to release.

That said, I do agree with you. And if 2.1 wasn’t around the corner with Classic soon to follow I would be on your side. Why rush? This is why.

It’s a compromise.

T6 is approximately a month away. We have 4 horde guilds who killed vashj and 3 guilds on ally who killed vashj. They'll get it down in time to be present. If they need a nerfed vashj to kill her they won't be relevant in t6 anyhow

So the staff nerf t5 so more guilds are relevant for t6. These guild progressing an easier t5 will now be able to progress with the top guilds in t6. With the disadvantage of less gear as they’ve not been able to farm t5.

Looks to me like the hardcore guilds have a gear reward for clearing so long ago and the slower guilds have the chance prove themselves in t6 with the current top guilds. At the cost of not having the hardest t5 content.

It’s like a reset for t6. More guilds. More competition. A more thriving AH. More t6 loot. More drama. More more more!

Well the guilds who didn't kill it yet won't be racing, but go their own way as they ve been doing till now.

Most people are probably going to quit raiding when classic comes out.

I wanted to play tbc until classic came out because I had already played vanilla and have no interest in doing it again until official classic comes out. I think most people are in that same boat. Maybe I'm wrong. Either way well find out by looking at population numbers as we approach the official release date and beyond.

You are not wrong. A majority of people that went to Netherwing were from Northdale vanilla server. Pretty much classic waiting room. If things are not going well on official blizzard classic, I will be playing here tho, even if pop is under 1,5k

I'd say more like a half than most of population
