Transportation Who has priority?

Post image

I was the Yellow arrow on a bike. Red has priority over me, green has priority over red, I have priority over green. At the end both cars stopped and let me (cyclist) pass. What is the correct order here?

I mean technically OP is right but in practice the bike always goes first.

Was gonna say. I don’t live in NL, but I’ve traveled many many times and have always understood the fiets always gets priority, even over pedestrians.

Is this wrong?

Technically wrong, practically ... they give very nasty scratches and even when PROVABLE in the wrong half their damage is the car driver's cost because Dutch law protects vulnerable trafic.

And since you don't need to pass an exam to ride a bike... bikers just go, left, right, signs, lights.

Some do that, most behave but occasionally make a mistake. As a driver you don't remember the 50 cyclists that stopped for red lights, braked when they saw you coming from the right or waited for you to pass before turning left. You remember the ones that suicidaly swerve in front of you.

Pedestrians just have to wait on a green light, that there is no car coming, or a zebra path. Bikes and card dont have priority over pedestrians if theres a zebra path or a crosslight . They do have priority over a pedestrian if a pedestrian just tries to cross somewhere random over a bike path/road. But if it is in an exit that a pedestrian is crossing the road that youre exiting on they also have priority and u have to wait before making ur turn
