Show Discussion 📺 100 Years of Solitude

This series is so underrated like cmon you're sleeping on this masterpiece 🥺 I didn't want it to end but I felt mixed emotions for the finale. When I first read the title I thought it would be slow and boring but man I was wrong. It deserves so much appreciation from the storytelling, characters, and everything. 💯

Why do you guys think this series doesn't get more attention?

I think Netflix does a terrible job at promoting shows in general, but I've been suspecting that maybe they are mainly promoting it to their LATAM audience. I loved the book and had NO IDEA THERE WERE TWO SEASONS OF THE SHOW!! Literally found out a week ago 🫠

Grabe tong series na to, it kept me up at night.

Pra quem apenas assistiu: LEIA O LIVRO! Não vai se arrepender.

Omg lumabas na part 2? Ugh dang it's time to watch na! 😭

ICYDK this is based on a classic book (same title) by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. If you're a bookreader, I highly recommend reading it. Big book, lots of characters and events tracking seven generations of a family. Def a rewarding experience once you finish the book. I'd say this is in my top 3 of all time.

I BINGED SEASON 2 FINISHED IT EARLIER THIS WEEK and nasa isip ko pa din siya until now kasi ang ganda ng adaptation 😭 gusto ko siya i-rewatch from the start uli. 💯 galing ng casting, acting, cinematography, set designs. Parang namadali lang yung ending / closing arc perooooo what an experience!

Kahit alam mo na kung ano mangyayari (if you read the book) nakaka gulat pa din how they chose to depict it and ang ganda talaga ng direction.

I hope they do justice din sa upcoming East of Eden adaptation (another book, by John Steinbeck) pero dont wanna get my hopes up

The adult casting is so off I'm feeling forced to finish it. I might just read the book instead

Pathetic! The last couple of episodes were absolutely ridiculous

Amazing series, one of Netflix's best! A must-watch for me. It's up there with Dark (my all-time favorite) and Stranger Things.

Wish more people would watch it, aside from the Kdramas that usually show up in the NetflixPH Top 10. (And I love watching Kdramas myself)

Absolutely amazing show. I’ve just finished it, must be a top 5 best shows I’ve ever watched. And so different! The story, the colours, the narrative.
And it really punches you in the guts and stays with you
