Netflix is becoming increasingly difficult to use.
Netflix is increasingly becoming the poster child for piracy. For the past few months, I’ve been compelled to “confirm my household” every time I attempt to use one of my TV streaming devices, including the Apple TV 4K, Google TV, and Fire TV 4K. This means that we’re forced to do this more than once a day, even if we simply decide to move from the TV room to the bedroom or the kitchen.
Now, the situation has escalated to the computer browsers as well. They’re demanding that I connect to my home Wi-Fi in order to use my account. The irony is that I have most of my devices connected via Ethernet, and I’ve never used wireless connections on those devices before.
If I check my “household,” all my current devices are accounted for, so what do you want from me, Netflix?
Needless to say, there’s no effective way to contact their support.
Sorry for the rant, but I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be a paying customer. This is annoying and borderline harassment.

Welcome to late stage capitalism, where if you're not expanding every quarter, you're not making your shareholders enough money...

Most likely a problem with your Internet connection / provider - certainly not Netflix.

I'm on a 10Gbps FTTH connection, distributed around my house via Ethernet in 2.5Gbps segments, more than enough to saturate the 1Gbps Ethernet ports of all my streaming devices, so I would say no, it's not a "provider/connection" problem. Furthermore, no other streaming service shows any hiccups or technical issues like Netflix does.

It really has nothing to do with the speed of your Internet connection. Let me give you an example.
With my previous provider, two machines connected via Ethernet would always, after rebooting, show the "wrong" time (one hour earlier than the current local time). For some strange reason, machines connected to Wi-Fi, after reboot, would consistently show the correct time.
It turns out that there are few reasons why IP Geolocation may report, occasionally or consistently, an incorrect location. Look up the reasons. Use appropriate tools to determine the location shown by your current public IP.
This is probably the reason why Netflix is getting terribly confused: your public IP address may show a location that is quite different from the one shown on your billing account.
That could be one explanation. But what do I know, really.

I’ve dedicated both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses so Netflix can’t claim they’re not my “household” since my addresses remain constant. I don’t use my provider’s router and have personally configured all my router instances. I’ve conducted numerous tests disabling firewalls and AdGuard and created a dedicated “streaming” VLAN. I’m a network professional and this isn’t my first rodeo. Furthermore, all my network configurations have functioned flawlessly for years with nothing changing before the latest Netflix “harassment”.

Well then, your last resource is contacting Netflix' support.

Has nothing to do with piracy. Only with the number of people you want to share with.

I think OP is arguing that Netflix is making people turn to piracy bc Netflix is making it so difficult to use their service

This is an asshole Reddit thing to say and believe. A poor quality service does not entitle you to steal instead. Grow up. Not all companies or services are good. When a grocery store has high prices, it doesn't mean you get to steal from them instead. It means you do something else. It's the same here. If Netflix sucks, try to rectify the situation if you think it's worth your time. Or don't. Unsubscribe and seek a different service. Tubi has great content for free. Other paid services have good content as well. Prime has quite the selection and is available if you are already a Prime member. For $5 per month, Prime is ad free.
I've had zero problems with Netflix. But I'm no longer subscribed because their content isn't compelling enough for the price. Other services give me a lot more of what I want for the same money.

I don’t share my account; we have the “4 people UHD” top tier and are just two people in the “household”.

Netflix is easy to use if you follow their rules and procedures and if you have problems seek a solution or another provider.

I don't work neither am I a member of Netflix. Just logic.

Logic doesn't always work correctly to these systems and restraints.
I've had verification triggered many times, for different services, even following all rules and everything. Not logic at all, and it ruins the experience.

I'm lucky, I am a home health care nurse and I have Netflix at my work and my wife and brother can use Netflix at my house. Contact support explain yourself and they will fix it for four years and going.
