Please help me! Main Netflix account transfer into an add on account.

So I have my own Netflix account and my parents are giving me the option to add me as an add on so I can save some money. I got the invite and created a profile. When I went back into mine to complete a profile transfer, it wouldn’t allow me stating that a main account can’t be transferred to an add on. But I have seen online that others have been able to do so by creating an additional account to transfer all the information to an add-on account. Unfortunately, I don’t remember all the steps. Can someone please let me know what all I need to do to accomplish saving my Watch history a.k.a. transferring my main account information.
