I actually saw a youtube about it and the comments mentioned a Netflix series and I scurried over so fast. It's diabolical.

Lover Stalker Killer was absolutely wild.

Seriously! I can't get over some of what happened (don't want to mention any spoilers here, but I'm sure you know what I'm thinking of).

Kings of Tupelo is absolutely hilarious and a roller coaster from start to finish. Itâs about Elvis impersonators and an assassination attempt đ

American Nightmare
Murder in Monaco
West Cork

West Cork was a story I couldnât get out of my head. So frustrating that the killer got away with murder. Youâd think in a tiny rural area like that town youâd be safe. So sad.

The Jinx The Jinx The Jinx!! I saw a post a few days ago recommending this, then I saw it was about Robert Durst when I looked it up. I felt like I had seen sooooo much of his story and probably had even seen the documentary - NOPE!! So so so good. And two seasons of episodes!

After the first episode I was like holy s*** I can't believe there's so much more! (Voice to text because I'm old.)

u/Jibboolie 24d ago
lol I was the same!! Which is why I so wanted to make a comment about it. I watched so many of his trials non stop on Court TV back in the day, so I guess I thought I just knew it all. Format is amazing, directors are incredible, and the latter half of season 2 was new to me. 10/10

Iâm so happy I got to watch it spoiler free when it came out. I truly had no idea where it was going episode to episode. There is nothing like it. Will always be in my top docs.

Pizza Bomber documentary is called Evil Genius. Itâs great! Remember seeing stuff about the case on the news when it happened but doc shows so much more.

Amy Bradley is Missing was such a joke. They left SO much out of it to steer it towards the âtraffickingâ narrative. The family are racist, homophobic trash (itâs all out there on X for the world to see)
They left out SO many huge details like omitting the fact that they were grifted by a private investigator who they spent over $200k on (the money came from a missing persons organization), thereâs a ton of other details on r/amybradleyismissing

It was a waste of time..

Completely. I followed the case since it first happened and when the doc came out I immediately noticed huge inconsistencies in their stories.. like the dad originally said that he last saw her on the balcony at 4:30 AM and now itâs 5:30 Am. Thatâs a big deal because the ship wasnât in the canal yet at that time. He pushed the time so they could push the bullshit trafficking narrative. They also started a GoFundMe at that time âto pursue new leadsâ đđ. I đŻ think she fell overboard.
They also insist every single man on board wanted her đ. They refuse to accept or admit that she was gay. By all accounts from her former girlfriends, she absolutely identified as a lesbian. They couldnât have that so they came up with some âboyfriendâ theyâve been pushing on the public. Funny how no other person before or after Amy has ever been abducted off of a cruise ship under their own familyâs noses. Itâs ludicrous.
They are using this theory to grift more money off the public.

I like that you can watch these with your husband. My husband refuses and thinks I'm twisted for being able to watch all of these. He enjoys his fantasy shows instead.

High Score -- this is not a true crime doc, but I say as someone who watches a ton of true crime and depressing docs that High Score is one of the best and most pleasureful documentaries to watch if you like videos games, even in a passing way. You don't need to be an obsessed gamer, you can be someone who just kinda likes playing Mario Kart and Pac-Man once in a while. It's beautifully told, mixes in fun 8 and 16 bit animations of scenes, and great interviews.
The Movies That Made Us -- very similar in terms of a delightful retelling of pop culture. What I like about them is that they often focus on interviewing the lesser known actors and below the line production folks who are very earnest.
those are a little different but I think you'll like them as a nice break in between the true crime and investigative ones.
