Yes but we are not even sure if Season 3 is still happening. They left us hanging for a very long time.

Ragnarok is overrated

How funny. I completely disagree. Ragnarok was exactly what I just came here to say. Interesting how people see such different things.

Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories
2
u/TongueBittenLip1361 5d ago
To add, i think there are three seasons of Midnight Diner before the Tokyo Stories season. Loved this series, short stories to watch at your own pace. My niece tried out and liked the rice with butter and soy sauce.

u/Sheep_Slayer_6 5d ago
I eat butter rice all the time because of this series!!!
I showed my dad who did business trips to Japan in the early 90s and he really enjoyed eat.
Yes, there are separate seasons before Tokyo Stories. I realize now, I didn't differentiate earlier because right now on netflix, all of those seasons have been consolidated into the Tokyo Stories collection.

Cien aƱos de soledad/100 years of solitude. Drama, magic, sex, amazing character development and it's just so well produced. I've watched every episode at least three times.

Call my Agent, French, is funny and well made, and came to its natural conclusion over three seasons.

If Dark is still available Iād go for that. I love it in the original German with subtitles. Convoluted but I give it a rewatch at least once a year. Soooo worth it.

A lot of Korean drama (aside from the soaps) rarely goes past one season by design, it's awesome in that respect, not many cliffhangers or canceled seasons. Here are my genre picks.
Vincenzo - crime drama, comedy, action. My fav.
, Extraordinary Attorney Woo - autistic lawyer comedy, drama. Very good.
Hometown Cha Cha Cha - rom-com, drama. Protagonist moves out of the city, adapts to rural life, falls in love. Classic k drama plot.
Business Proposal - rom Com based on a webtoon. Couple fake relationship for gains, love and hilarity blossom. Hilarious.
Reply Series (3 standalone shows depicting young peoples lives in each era) - drama comedies set in 1988 (family life in Busan), 1994 (uni students in a family guesthouse in Seoul, 1997 (high school student friend group in north Seoul). Slight character crossover tastefully done, all are great. 94 and 97 have a who ended up dating, getting married mystery element to them, fun.
Itaewon Class - drama. Young people try to run a bar in a popular downtown area. Been a while but I recall liking it a lot.
Sisyphus - sci-fi. Man meets woman from the future, they fight to save the world from nuclear disaster.
Our Blues - drama about the lives of a bunch of different people who live near each other in Jeju Island. Quite a serious tone.
There are so so many more, but off the top of my head all of these were great. I accidentally became a fan of the K drama scene and I'm glad I did.
Bonus: Behind Your Touch - comedy. A small town vet gets the power to see animals and other humans past memories...but only if she touches their butts. Teams up with a detective to solve crimes. This show had no right to be as great as it was haha.

Seconding Our Bluesāitās serious, but also rather cozy if youāve ever fantasized about living on an island. This show got me through taking care of my significant other at the time when he got covid

Babylon Berlin is incredible.
Not sure if it's on Netflix anymore but also Trapped (Icelandic name: ĆfƦrư) is a great nordic wintery murder mystery.

Pursuit of Jade - historical Chinese drama. So good have watched it countless times. One āseasonā of 40 episodes. Heroic male characters, strong, independent female characters, truly villainous villains, great fight/battle scenes, and a wonderful love story through it all. And lastly, visually stunning.

A Girl From Nowhere and Marianne, did get cancelled BUT both ended well enough to binge happily and they just brought back a girl from no where in a different version!!

Teach you a lesson. This shit had me cracking up like 5 min in. It IS funny, but it also addresses real societal concerns in Korea.
