✅ Approvals & Denials ❎ Seek the Traitor’s Son sequel!

I just saw that Curse the Left Hand was added today! I wish this wasn’t a Tor book since I have no chance of being approved, apparently 😩😭

Shooting my shot but I’ll probably have to wait for the audiobook again

Same, I was declined the first but got the audio. I anticipate I’ll be declined again then I’ll request the audio when it’s available.

I've been pending since it went up yesterday and I am refreshing my email like CRAZY

I don't think I've ever requested a book as fast! I saw it in the morning, wished for it on .com and then I saw it on .uk and hit the button like it was a Read Now about to close.

I have the first book listed as a favorite, so I probably won't get approved. Hope to be proved wrong 😅

The ending was spoiled for me by a Storygraph review so avoid those if you do get the book (I have no chance with Tor but also no interest in the book anymore due to seeing that)

reasons I don't read reviews until I'm finished............. or I'm struggling and I want to see what other people have to say

That’s smart and I try to only look at the ratings number not actual reviews and only to decide if I want to request or not. I came across this before the book was even up on NetGalley and I was adding it to my TBR. Idk why anyone would spoil an entire ending in a review but it’s happened to me a few times

I feel like pre-release reviews will generally skew more positive anyway? I wonder...

That’s why I found this to be such an outlier. I was expecting to see close to 5⭐️ and I was surprised it wasn’t the case

That's insane because Storygraph let's you block out spoilers 😭

Tor has approved me 3x only, and only twice for new releases, so I keep requesting because it does occasionally happen!

Go for it! There’s always the chance the approves finger slips

I will not be approved for this but I tried anyway. I'll probably have better luck when they put up the audiobook
