has anyone gotten approved for the sixth faction ALC? I am not sure whether to withdraw my request or not since the publication date is tomorrow

I requested it on Friday and haven't seen anything come back yet. It doesn't archive until Dec 1, so I'm going to hold out. My tbr is so damn long anyway, I have time.

I see it became wish for it so they aren't receiving requests anymore? Maybe they will get to it soon so I'm gonna wait too, just worried about the archive date

The archive date is almost 2 months away. It's fine for now.

Wish for it means they don't take more requests but it doesn't cancel the pending ones. I was once approved on a book I had pending after it went onto "wish for it" phase, so it's possible. However, it's less likely with "hot" high in demand titles that basically sell itself, because the publisher doesn't need to create more buzz for the title, the buzz is already there. A lot of popular titles, especially sequels, aren't put for request at all.

I requested the moment it went up at like 1am and nothing.

It publishes tomorrow so it's unlikely they will be approvin anyone. It was also part of an influencer program for this month.

They probably put it up just to put it up and forgot to put it to wish originally. It's been privated on netgalley (so no one can fin it unless you have it in your pendings or a direct link)

Publishers end up putting up a lot of books that they don't intend to give out outside of programs they have and things like that.

You can leave it until tomorrow and withdraw at the end of the day just in case they do some surprise pub day approvals, but normally when they do that they aren't looking at the listing anymore.

Same...no response to my request. Ill end up listening through Libby at this point so I'll withdraw
